Super Speed safety razor without a date code.
Pre-1950. Twist to open, uses regulardouble edge
blades. The razor is in very good+ vintage
condition, no scratches, dings, rust etc.Gillette
1948 Super Speed DE safety razor. It bears no date
code, indicating that it is an earlyrepresentation
of the model, manufactured sometime between 1948
(when Gillette began manufacturingthis design) and
1951 (when Gillette began printing date codes on
this model). Twist to open (TTO )device operates
smoothly. It has a small spot on the outside of the
bomb bay doors which can be seenin the pictures, it
should come out with polishing, as I have not had
the time to polish it myself.The razor is perfectly
functional as a daily shaver and is in VERY GOOD+
condition. The razortakes standard double edge
blades and has been Sanitized with a germicide agent
and is shave ready. Gillette razor is a 1948 with
no date code and has the notched positioning bar.
OK here is the break down of this beautiful razor
it was made in the USA, it opens, and closes
smoothly and is Nice,Bright, and Shiny, the razor
has a 3" handle and it weighs 54g.This razor has no
brassing and no rust. I have to say this, the razor
looks factory freshand will make for a very nice
collection item. Overall this is a very nice razor
for your collectionor you can shave with it. What a
