Just put the finishing touches to my holiday
decorations and wanted to share this little gem with
all. Been in the family since the early 1960s-this
was part of a set of six that my mom would put out
for cocktail parties-they usually held hors
d'oeuvres, nuts or candies. When my folks finally
gave up their home I grabbed the one surviving
member of the sextet. It always makes me think of my
sister and I sitting at the top of the stairs and
listening to all the mysterious smoke and booze
filled adult conversations and laughter downstairs.
Those are GOOD memories!
